Apple Crisp

There’s nothing better than a bowl of ooey, gooey fall time apples with a cinnamon crunch! This is a timeless classic that is sure to hit the spot on a crisp autumn day. Be sure to serve with some vanilla ice cream!

RECIPE

  • For the apple mixture:

    • 2 granny smith apples

    • 3/4 cup brown sugar

    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

    • 1 tsp cinnamon

    For the cinnamon topping:

    • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

    • 1/8 cup oats

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

    • 6 tbsp cold butter

    1. Pre-heat oven to 375°F.

    2. Grease a 7-inch round cake pan.

    3. Whisk 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon.

    4. Peel and thinly slice 2 granny smith apples.

    5. Stir together the apples and mixture.

    6. For the cinnamon topping, in a separate bowl whisk the flour, oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mash the butter into the mixture.

    7. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the pan. Top with the oat mixture.

    8. Bake for 35 minutes.

    9. Serve with vanilla ice cream!
