FALL CAMPING TRIP
A camping trip is a
great way to immerse yourself in fall foliage. Pick a campsite that’s nestled in the woods near some views so you can go for a hike during the day! Campgrounds are either first come first serve, or will require a reservation. In some states, such as NH, boon-docking is permitted so you can pitch a tent where you please! As temperatures begin to drop, the thing to keep in mind is bringing warm gear. Night temps are likely getting much cooler up in the mountains this time of year, so bring along a good sleeping bag & some cider to heat up over the fire!
Autumn is meteor shower season across the northern hemisphere. Being away from the city with less light pollution, the stars are more visible. With temperatures cooling off and the nights getting longer, conditions are perfect for star gazing! Draconid is the first meteor shower of the season and is followed by a series of showers that occur roughly every other week throughout fall. Grab a blanket and a telescope and enjoy the view!
